After Albania and Montenegro, the traveling exhibition of contemporary art, Art in Port: Coexistence for a New Adriatic Koine, arrived in Rijeka at the end of 2014. Twenty-five artists from the younger generation from Albania, Montenegro, Italy and Croatia exhibited their works, created in various media, at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The exhibition explores the concept of identity of the nations connected and/or separated by the Adriatic Sea, with the aim of creating a common language. Croatian representatives at the exhibition are Ana Hušman, Nika Rukavina, Fokus Grupa, Davor Sanvicenti and Gildo Bav?evi?.
The exhibition is part of the EU project ARTVISION.

Agrimi’s philosophy

Dario Agrimi, showing his art in the exhibition “Coexistence: for a new Adriatic koiné”

“If you are able to create something out of nowhere, you are enlightened”. Apulian artist Dario Agrimi’s philosophy in five questions’ interview.

What is the starting point of your work?

What are the tools, techniques by which you prefer to work?

Any means that is useful to achieve the purpose is the right one. There should be no limits or preferences. The important thing is that the work is exactly as it has been conceived.

What future plans are there in your drawer?

If I revealed my plans, I would risk to be copied. It will be a surprise. Enough thinking that I’m preparing new things and have not stopped.

Which are the contemporary artists whose work you admire?

I admire all those who deal with art, devoting their lives to it. All of them equally deserve my respect, from amateurs to professionals. If you are able to create something out of nowhere, you are enlightened. Basically, art is just a matter of taste.

What books do you read?

I do not read. I’m dyslexic.
