ART IN PORT: COEXISTENCE

After Albania and Montenegro, the traveling exhibition of contemporary art, Art in Port: Coexistence for a New Adriatic Koine, arrived in Rijeka at the end of 2014. Twenty-five artists from the younger generation from Albania, Montenegro, Italy and Croatia exhibited their works, created in various media, at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The exhibition explores the concept of identity of the nations connected and/or separated by the Adriatic Sea, with the aim of creating a common language. Croatian representatives at the exhibition are Ana Hušman, Nika Rukavina, Fokus Grupa, Davor Sanvicenti and Gildo Bav?evi?.
The exhibition is part of the EU project ARTVISION.

NIKA RUKAVINA

Although she is a graduated sculptor, holding a degree from a Venetian University, Nika Rukavina, an artist from Rijeka, is primarily interested in performance and multimedia art. Do not put your cross on me, Lost in transition, Purify your emotions and The unstoppable desire of having are some of the performances in which the artist addresses current social issues.
