THE STUDY OF MEDIA ARTS AND PRACTICES

MEDIA ARTS AND PRACTICES (MAP) is a new graduate department at the Academy of Applied Arts of the University of Rijeka. The study consists of three main modules: PHOTOGRAPHY, INTERMEDIA and SCENOGRAPHY. The study is structured in a way that integrates different disciplines and content and yet remains open to accommodate changes in contemporary art and media technologies. Such a dynamic and open curriculum encourages the progress of each student and at the same time provides a rich and flexible education from which each student can choose the most relevant methods of acquiring knowledge with the addition of professional support.
